Bob Bardusch, wins CIO of the Year Award Nominated by SPHERE

SPHERE is pleased to announce that our nomination for CIO of the Year, Bob Bardusch, Valley National Bank has won Public Company, CIO of the Year. The CIO Conference and Awards ceremony will be held by New Jersey Tech Council on October 3rd in Nutley, New Jersey. This annual conference will address strategies involving IT, security, operations, compliance, finance and liability. Prior to the keynote, there will be remarks from Beth Simone Noveck, CIO of the State of New Jersey, along with Janet Sherlock, CIO of Ralph Lauren, and many other high-profile security experts.

Bardusch was recently promoted to Chief Operating Officer where he focuses on integrating platforms, improving service delivery and efficiency, and fostering innovation to support Valley National Bank in operating with the right balance of quality, flexibility, control and cost. Prior to joining Valley National Bank, Bardusch gained nearly two decades of leadership positions at PNC Bank and held many diverse senior technology leadership positions.

“We were thrilled that Bob has won in this category,” said Rita Gurevich, CEO of SPHERE Technology Solutions. “Bob has been a driving force in bringing innovation to the bank and accelerating their goals of digital transformation.” Rita will also be participating in the event as part of a cybersecurity panel discussion where she will be discussing cybersecurity best practices alongside Ray Lipps, CISO at Celgene, Darren Carroll, Director of Security Product Management at TierPoint, and Terry Rice, CISO and VP of Risk Management at Merk.
