The company is searching for a professional HR Generalist whose primary function is to act as day-to-day support to all levels of employees. The role will partner on all human resources activities including performance management, employee engagement, and year-end processes (performance evaluations and compensation). The HR Generalist will report to the CEO and will oversee the administration of employee systems and policies, benefits, and employee relations. As well as assist with projects and processes across a full range of HR functions.

 Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Respond to employee relations issues and concerns promptly and efficiently
  • Advise and help train managers on key employee relations topics i.e., effective mentorship, documentation, and corrective action.
  • Coordinate daily benefits administration for group medical, dental, vision, transit accounts,
  • Performs customer service functions by answering employees requests for information and questions including but not limited to benefits, policies, systems and procedures
  • Act as a liaison with insurance carriers and third-party administrators to foster effective relationships with employees
  • Communicates and documents programs and policies clearly and consistently to staff and managers
  • Act as a liaison with legal counsel on HR related documents
  • Assesses adherence to related compliance requirements to achieve operational excellence
  • Performs accurate and timely employment verifications
  • Ensure timely response and processing of service letters for terminated employees in appropriate jurisdiction
  • Manage annual open enrollment period during the 4th quarter of each year. Arrange mailers and communications to employees and manage onsite representation by benefits broker. Process all open enrollment changes within deadlines
  • Create monthly reports on HR metrics and participate in HR projects
  • Maintain all employee personnel files
  • Assist managers with recruitment, job fairs and onboarding
  • Completion of onboarding or offboarding and termination process
  • Processing garnishments and direct deposit
  • Compile information for routine reporting and analysis i.e., wage/salary analysis, retention, state/federal reporting
  • Track time off accruals and reset on an annual basis. Ensure employees use time before year end


  • 5 years minimum experience as an HR Administrator or Benefits Specialist
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or relevant field
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Exhibits and maintains high ethical standards
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Organizational skills and ability to prioritize
  • Persistence and superb follow up
  • Expert Microsoft office user i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Highest Integrity
